Katie Durko Karvinen does it all. She’s the co-founder of uber successful digital media agency (The Edit), mother to adorable baby Ryland, mononymous Instagram stylemaker… and she still manages to make time to be an amazing friend and person. In fact, she was my very first friend in California – we locked eyes across the table at our USC Annenberg orientation 15 years ago and sealed our fate over Facebook wall posts until we could become IRL BFFs that spring.

Katie is the cool girl you want to hate but literally can’t once you meet her because she’s so hilarious, authentic, and loyal. She’s so pretty and so chic and so cool, but, even more so, she’s also SO smart and SO driven and SO funny. It’s actually hard to think of Katie without breaking into a smile because she is so boldly and unapologetically herself.

When she’s not running her business (and even while she is), Katie is usually making you jealous of her own life on Instagram. She has been everywhere you want to go, and is probably already going to the next hotspot before you even know you want to go there (#bookedbyarbiter, of course).
